Socius Restaurant In Burnham Market Raises £5106 For Local Norfolk Charity

Socius restaurant in Burnham Market raises £5106 for local Norfolk charity, Wells Community Hospital Foundation.

When restaurant owners Natalie Stuhler & Dan Lawrence opened their first restaurant, Socius, in Burnham Market at the end of February last year, they didn’t just have their business heads on. They wanted to give as much back to the local community as possible and decided to raise money for a local charity every 6 months. For the past six months they have been raising money for Wells Community Hospital Trust .

Wells Community Hospital Trust is a local charity that provides a wide range of flexible and integrated health & wellbeing services for the local community. Supporting people locally to keep independent longer by the provision of high quality preventative clinical services and non-clinical therapeutic support within a safe environment. They are a hugely important community resource which addresses a wide range of social, emotional and practical needs holistically thus enabling people to take greater control of their own health.

The couple have raised money for the charity in various different ways throughout the 6 months, “we decided to add a discretionary £1 donation to every bill which goes directly to the charity” explains Natalie. Samantha Taylor, general manager of Wells Community Hospital says: “Natalie & Dan have raised an incredible amount. The Board and I are so honoured; this donation will help ensure that the Trust is able to continue supporting the local community by the provision of much needed services – we cannot thank them enough.”

Overall so far the Socius team have raised £5106.00 for the charity.
