A bright future for the local wine industry
A WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) qualification is a great way to start a new career in wine or develop your interest as an amatueur enthusiast.
Dear Wine Lover,
I'm a great believer that challenging times create opportunities and while the English wine industry has not been covid-proof it has held up better than many sectors of the economy.
With a renewed focus on buying local, interest in local wine has boomed. When I speak to the regions vineyard owners they're really optimistic about the future. You can see the investment in vineyards & wineries, in visitor and hospitality facilities and you can feel their passion to make more wine from different grape varieties and in more styles. It is estimated that this investment will create 20,000 to 30,000 new jobs nationally by 2040 and many of those will be in our regions vineyards.
A WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) qualification is a great way to start a new career in wine or develop your interest as an amatueur enthusiast. Whatever tier we are placed in after Thursday we will continue to operate our classroom based and online courses. Our online courses mean we are able to offer more flexibility in terms of course times and dates so you can work around existing an existing work schedule or take advantage of having an extended period of time in which to focus on your future career.
Whatever your level of interest, there is a WSET course for you and there really hasn't ever been a better time to get yourself wine qualified or develop your personal interest in wine.
