A Norwich restaurant has introduced a new menu designed for people to Click & Collect and enjoy in the comfort of their own home.

Chef Iain McCarten at The Last Bar & Restaurant on St George’s Street has crafted a 3-course menu that celebrates some of the most popular, seasonal dishes from the Restaurant’s menu.  All expertly prepared in their kitchen, ready to be finished and enjoyed at home.  @The Last Supper is available Fridays and Saturdays during November and selected dates in December too.  Iain joins a plethora of hospitality businesses that have had to adjust their business model in order to factor-in ways of offering a takeaway service to their customers.

It wasn’t so long ago that Chef Iain was delighted to be re-opening the doors in September after a lengthy Lockdown which also saw a new direction for this popular eatery which has been a Norwich institution for more than 30 years.  Following a change of ownership to Iain and his team, September and October proved to be very popular as many people rediscovered the delights at The Last; only to be disappointed when the doors closed once more for the second Lockdown.

Iain commented “the economic climate is incredibly tough for everyone right now, us included, and I’m sure it’s frustrating for customers too who just want to get back to normal and enjoy a nice meal out.  So many customers have been asking us for takeaway that we decided to give it a try and we’ve pulled together a 3-course menu featuring some of The Last’s classic and current dishes.  At £20 per head for 3-courses we believe it represents excellent value for money and we’ve even added some hand-selected wine choices too to accompany our selected dishes.  Of course, we’re ensuring that our usual high standards and our food ethos extends to our @The Last Supper menu and we hope that our existing customers, and some new ones, will give it a try. We’re keeping our fingers crossed too for the re-opening of restaurants on 3rd December”.

Orders can be placed online anytime for collection between 3pm and 6pm every Friday and Saturday and simple cooking and plating instructions will be included on the website.
