An award winning brewery in the heart of the Norfolk broads.
Great British beer since 1981
"We've been brewing great tasting beer with passion & pride for almost four decades. We've become known for an award winning range of real ales, but more recently we've launched FIFTYTWO° NORTH, a collection of craft beers combining our brewing traditions with modern hop varieties.
Founded in 1981, born in Nelson's county and named in honor of Parson James Woodforde, an 18th Century clergyman who wrote of in his diaries of his love for good food and great beer, our story starts in the 1960's during the new-wave revolution of home brewers creating authentic flavours and crafting their own beers.
You'll find us at the heart of the Norfolk Broads on the rural estate of Woodbastick where we've been for over 30 years. We're extremely proud to call Norfolk our home, with our best selling ale, Wherry, named after the legendary boat that once sailed The Broads.
We've always stayed true to our values by using the best locally grown malt, carefully selected whole hop flowers and water from the ancient aquifer below us. We care about our community, our traditions and helping as many people as possible to discover and experience great tasting beer."
